Meet Halfway

Fourteenth Entry A Deconstructed Story of "Sikalak ug Sikabay" The story we have developed is inspired by Federico Caballero's epic chanting. As stated in the story, the two main characters would reunite through hearing the chant from a certain stage play. It partakes  in completing the story.  Based on the tone of our story, we would need to give it a more contemporary touch rather than the traditional form it was before. With that, the audience/readers will be able to relate easier to the main characters as the happenings in the story are not that far from reality.  List of Dancers/ Members: Patalinghug, Kerr Booc, Karla Jean  Calaw, Esmail Celiz, Ramon Hope Defuntorum, Kent Jumawan, Reycil Tagsip, Sean Ma ñ us, Ma. Black-Out Poetry

Image
Twelfth Entry Isn't it amazing how a plain piece of paper can turn into a state work of the art? Artists' main goal is to be able to express what they truly feel towards a certain prompt. Through the use of black-out poetry, one is able to deconstruct a text from its original context and be able to create a whole new meaning to it.  Normally when you write a poem, the first thing you do is to stare at a blank page for a while before you could actually start writing a word. However, there is a new method for you to write a poem -- you can just remove some words from a page and there you have it. Here are the individual outputs of the members: Kent Defuntorum Kerr D. Open Wide -- An Installation Art

Image
Ninth Entry Like most movements that make up modern and contemporary art, installation art exhibits an interest in innovating. It is characterized by immersive, larger-than-life works of art. The term installation art is used to describe large-scale, mixed-media constructions, often designed for a specific place or for a temporary period of time. By this means, the whole class was given the challenge to produce our own installation art. As a concept, we came up with  Prostitution and Cybersex.  Here's the final output: Open Wide Documentation: Day 1 Day 2 List of Dancers/ Members: Patalinghug, Kerr Booc, Karla Jean  Calaw, Esmail Celiz, Ramon Hope Defuntorum, Kent Jumawan, Reycil Tagsip, Sean Ma ñ us, Ma.
